The main method of dismantling large-sized metal structures, equipment, machinery for scrap metal is metal cutting.
Plasma cutting is used for cutting large-sized steel scrap, especially from high-carbon and high-alloy steels, as well as for stainless steel scrap. Dimensional melting with subsequent separation of one part of the assembly from another occurs due to the high temperature in the arc. As a result of the impact on the metal of an electric charge of high power, a plasma is formed with a temperature of 5000 .. 60000 C. This is enough for effective cutting.
Metal cutting is carried out directly at the facility in the case when it is impossible or troublesome to transport especially large units to be dismantled, or when, for safety reasons, the metal structure must be cut right at its location.
The price of cutting metal structures depends on the following factors:
- the type of scrap being cut (black or colored);
- amount of scrap metal;
- cutting difficulty;
- the presence of high-rise works.
