At the Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant and other enterprises of Kamensky, the list of industrial waste generated from a number of industries is quite large. Metal-containing slags are of the greatest value. Of these, slag from iron and steel castings, containing elevated concentrations of iron up to 14% and manganese up to 4%, is taken to a quarry near the Dnieper River.
We determine the areas of waste use in industry and construction based on the study of their environmental and toxicological properties using a set of methods, including geochemical, mineralogical, biological and physicochemical. Methods for processing metal-containing slags are developed on the basis of their phase composition, which is characteristic of certain varieties. Slag from bronze and brass castings is processed with the extraction of copper and other metals from them.
To reduce the negative impact on the environment by the enterprises of the Dnipro region, "DNEPR MONTAGE" LLC uses environmentally friendly methods of processing. The goal of our company was to select cost-effective and environmentally friendly methods for processing waste (screening out crushed stone, rocks and slag) to obtain construction products for subsequent use by enterprises in the region.
